Chipolopolo midfield general Emmanuel Banda came from the bench to set up a goal as Djurgådens IF edged Hammarby 1-0 in a derby.
Banda assisted the only goal of the game as Djurgårdens IF came out victorious on Sunday afternoon at the Tele 2 Arena in a matchweek 12 encounter of the Swedish Allsvenskan.
Banda was introduced in the 65th minute taking up the place of Hampus Finndell. The Zambian international only needed three minutes to make an impact.
The former Nchanga Rangers man set up fellow substitute Gustav Wikheim in the 68th minute who received a well worked timed low cross from Banda and made no mistake with a right footed shot from close range to secure maximum points.
Banda came close to rolling in the second of the match but got a rather brusque tackle at the moment of the shot.
Banda has a goal and an assist in his last two games having scored a beauty of a strike as Djurgådens IF cruised to a 5-2 win over GIF Sundsvall in an Allsvenskan encounter a week ago.
Djurgådens held on to win the match 1-0 which meant they moved within a point of log leaders, BK Hacken.
