The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Division One Provincial league is heating up with week 12 action coming alive this weekend.
Zesco Chipata will host katete United in what is expected to be a tight affair to predict. Zesco Chipata has not recorded any loss this season and they have a winning ratio of 56% as they have collected 5 points from a possible 9 while katete united is fresh from their loss at home to St Francis in what was a derby match. Zesco Chipata playing at home have an upper hand.
Lundazi United who is second from the bottom with no point will be at home to Petauke United who has also failed to pick up any maximum points this season and they occupy 14th position with a point to their name. Petauke United has made reshuffles to their technical bench following a bad start to the season, parting ways with Cuthbert Phiri and they have brought in Kalengo Mwanza who will be assisted by Mr. Soko.
Lundazi United despite not picking up any points this season, they are difficult to beat at home. A draw will be a fair result for Petauke United otherwise Lundazi United is likely to record their first win of the season.
Smiling Kids who seem not to behave like kids will be at home hosting Nyamphande Kum’mawa who has the fourth porous defense in the league. Unless Nyamphande has found a way of stopping the rampant striking force of Smiling Kids which has scored seven goals from three games, A win is an obvious thing for Smiling kids.
Nyamphande Kum,mawa is likely to sit deep and play for a draw but football has a way of surprising you, and Nyamphande may just grab maximum points.
Prison Leopards will be at home at Namuseche prison grounds to welcome Katete Rangers who have picked up points even away from home this season as they did it against Chadiza United in a week ten fixture.
Prison leopards are blowing hot and cold this season and it’s difficult to predict if they can get anything from this game. If we are to go by form and play style, then Katete Rangers are in for a better result in this encounter.
The game of the week is between Chadiza United against Chadiza Police Rangers in the Chadiza district. Chadiza united has a winning ratio of 67% from the three games they have played so far while their rivals Chadiza police Rangers comfortably occupy the last spot as they are the weeping boys of the league with no point and with the most porous defense in the league. Despite such sort of results from both sides, this is a derby, and it’s difficult to predict
“Despite them not recording any win this season and all their fixtures have ended in losses we can not rule them out as they will be in for a win and the fact they will be playing with people (Chadiza United) they live with almost every day, it will make this match a difficult but so interesting but we are ready and we know what we want from this fixture which is a win”, Luckson Zulu told the ZamFoot Crew.
Luckson Zulu is a former player of Levy Mwanawasa Medical University formerly called Chainama College who plays as an anchor-man and has been instrumental to his team’s Chadiza United good form this season.
St Francis will host Sinda United in what is another match difficult to predict but Sinda United despite being away is likely to get a better result at St Francis grounds in Katete. The form for St Francis despite picking up 6 points from the first three games doesn’t look so impressive but football being what it is, a shocker may come our way.
Nyimba United who is the debutants in the league will be at home to police Bullets of Chipata at Nyimba grounds, this one may end in a draw but if there’s a team that will need results most then that team will be Nyimba United and Police Bullets should be wary of this.
Police Bullets will have to put in extra work to pick up maximum points in Nyimba.
On Sunday at Gondar Barracks grounds of Chipata, Panza FC are poised for an easy fixture on paper. Yes in football there’s no easy fixture but sometimes it’s obvious to have one. They will be at home to Real Mpezeni of Ephendukeni palace of chief Mpezeni who are struggling for maximum points. If Panza FC is serious and wants to play national league playoffs then these are fixtures they need to cruise to a win with ease.
Young Nkwazi seems to be the dominant force in the league, That good run is expected to continue as they are at home to Chipata City Council who seem not to be themselves this season.
The league leaders are defying all odds and they know how to pick up points against strong opposition. A win is a likely result for the police sponsored outfit.
