With the two on a month long leave, first assistant Alex Namazaba will take charge of the team.

The decision comes after a string of poor results that have been recorded in the first six games of the 2022/23 football season having finished third during the previous MTN Super League season.
“Green Eagles Football Club have sent Head Coach Mr Aggrey Chiyangi and Second Assistant Coach Rotson Kilambe on thirty (30) days administrative with immediate effect.
First Assistant Coach Mr Alex Namazaba has been appointed as Interim Head Coach with immediate effect. He will be assisted by Mr Hopson Kalengo, Mr Aaron Nyirenda, Mr Bob Banda and Mr Thomas Zimba.”
