Biston Banda making progress towards return to the pitch a year after his injury

Striker Biston Banda is making considerable progress with his recovery from a knee injury, the club has confirmed. 

According to a statement accessed by the ZamFoot Crew, Banda has made a lot of progress and continues to work hard in the gym and physiotherapy.

Banda has been out for over a year, He suffered a knee injury during a friendly game against Trident FC in August 2021. 

Banda and Power Dynamos captain Godfrey Ngwenya returned from Kenya after successful knee operation in May. 

Abayellow has confirmed that Banda is the only player that is injured with the rest of the squad being healthy, Team Doctor Womba Kadochi has clarified. 

“The yellow camp has seen good days in terms of fitness, Only a single player has been reported unavailable .Banda is still undergoing treatment. The rest of the squad are in full training and are  available for selection. 

Banda, who was operated by Surgeons in Kenya at a similar time as  club captain Godfrey Ngwenya, has seen a stable and progressive recovery journey. 

With only a few more months before his estimated return date, the player has continued to work out in the gym and attend physiotherapy sessions to stabilize the knee ligaments.

The youngster continues to work under team Doctor’s watch and should be bouncing back in no time.”

Power Dynamos are currently second on the table with eleven points from six games played so far.
