Chipolopolo Boys forward Patson Daka got off to a dream start with Hamburger SV as he scored and assisted to help his side to a 3-1 win over Heidenheim.
Daka came off the bench at the half hour and needed just six minutes to make his mark winning a penalty which was converted by Nicolai Remberg to put Hamburg in the lead.
Four minutes into the second stanza, the Zambian international set up Rayan Philippe for the second goal.
The best moment however came in the 57th minute as Daka opened his goal account with a close range finish to seal the win.
Qualid Mhamdi scored the consolation goal for Heidenheim.
The Zambian international put pen to paper on a one year deal with the Germany Bundesliga side. Daka joined Die Rothosen as a free agent following the end of his five year stint with former EPL Champions, Leicester City.
Daka will be looking to replicate his FC Salzburg form where he won four successive Bundesliga titles and three Austrian Cups, while claimin the leagueās Golden Boot with 27 goals in the 2020-21 campaign and was voted Austrian Bundesliga Player of the Season.
It was that form that earned him move to Leicester City in 2021 for a reported ā¬30 million fee ā a record transfer involving a Zambian player at the time. At Leicester City, the Chipolopolo forward scored 29 goals and registered 18 assists in 166 appearances across all competitions.
