Zambian forward Moses Phiri says it’s a dream come true to join Tanzanian giants Simba Sports Club.
Phiri says he has joined Wekundu wa Msimbazi to win trophies with the East African side.
The former Buildcon striker has promised to work so that he can continue scoring goals.
The ‘Moses of our time’ has penned a two year deal with Wekundu wa Msimbazi after leaving Zanaco following the expiration of his contract.
“I feel so good to be part of this family, it’s a dream come true. The major reason am here is to win trophies with Simba,” he said.
“I am equal to the task, I just pray to God that the guys receive with good hands.”
“Those Simba jerseys it’s Chama (Clatous) who has been giving me, he is my good friend. I can’t say I will be scoring goals every game because I have not yet tested the league but I promise with the abilities that I know I have, I will work hard so that I can continue to score goals,” he added.
Moses becomes the third Zambian player on the books of Simba joining midfielders Clatous Chota Chama and Rally Bwalya.
Last season with Zanaco Phiri scored 14 goals in the Zambian Premier League as the number two top scorer behind Ricky Banda who netted 16-goals.
Phiri won the 2020/21 FAZ Super Division golden boot with 17 goals helping Zanaco qualify for Continental football.
