Daka leaves Chipolopolo Boys Camp

Leicester City striker Patson Daka has departed the Chipolopolo Boys camp in South Africa at the request of his club, the ZamFoot Crew understands.

Daka played 83 minutes in the Chipolopolo Boys’ 3-1 loss to South Africa but will now miss Thursday’s clash against Angola.

Daka is not the only one leaving the camp as  ZESCO United players Gift Mphande, Kabaso Chongo, David Simukonda, and Pascal Phiri will also leave the camp tomorrow, missing Tuesday’s friendly against Angola, as they are set to return to their club to prepare for their CAF inter club competition assignment.

Goals from Oswin Appollis, Nkota Mohau and Sphephelo Sithole gave Bafana Bafana a comfortable win with Joseph Banda scoring a consolation goal.

Zambia are using the two friendly matches as part of their preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Zambia is in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, West African giants Mali, and Comoros. Meanwhile Bafana Bafana are in Group B and will face Egypt, Angola and Zimbabwe.
