All roads this Sunday will lead to Sunset Stadium when Lusaka Dynamos and Zanaco host Mighty Mufulira Wanderers and Nkana in a double header.
With the two Copperbelt clubs having the biggest supporters base in the country, Sunset Stadium will be too small to take in the huge crowds that will want to watch the match at the stadium.
Plans were underway to take the games to National Heroes Stadium but Zambianfootball.co.zm understands that Zanaco did not want to feel as if they were playing away from home considering that their fans would be outnumbered in the giant stadium.
“Sunset is our home ground, we will play from there and the match will take place in Sunday,” Zanaco FC vice secretary Isaac Manda said.
Back to the games: On the field of play, second placed Zanaco know they cant afford to slip any further if they have to maintain the pressure on Zesco United who have a six point advantage with a game in hand. But they will have to contend with a Nkana team which has found its scoring touch with inform strikers Freddy Tshimenga and Walter Bwalya.
Leaders Zesco United are expected to extend their 12 match unbeaten run when they host bottom placed National Assembly.
On and off Power Dynamos will host Konkola Blades who are on a poor run of results having lost five of their previous six games.

Congratulation to Andre Ayew for winning the EPL Player of the month August.Mama Africa is proud of you
and what has that got to do with zambian football?
Don’t know either, was just wondering
From what I know Zanaco were trying to negotiate with the heroes stadium management but the deal just didn’t pull through not those lies of saying that Zanaco were afraid of being out numbered.Nkana fans will support their team and LD for mighty to lose and Mighty fans will support Zanaco for Nkana to lose.
Nkoloma was secured which Zanaco turned down. Nkana supporters have appealed to Zanaco MD (letter copied to Ministers of Home Affairs and Sports plus IG) to consider the security of fans as we’ve all seen how poor Zanaco are at Gate Management (It takes 5 minutes to let in one Vehicle causing congestion on the now busy road) and on some instances fans force the gate open) by using Heroes Stadium failure to which ensure security and more responsibility from the Zanaco who comfortably sit in the VIP and perhaps have no idea what regular fans like me have to go through to give our hard earned money to them. Let’s pray all goes well as the same people that don’t want to see the bigger picture shall be the first to exculpate themselves and not take responsibility
Is Zambia not an African Country?
Yes Zambia is an African country. Anything wrong with that?
Zambian players should emulate the west african players. Congrats ayew
Zambian players should emulate west african players. Congrats ayew
Ayew is not Zambian. Our focus should be on the improvement of Zambian football and it’s players.
Right my man
At seconde stadium 12th Sept 2015 16:00 GMT, it shall be a mouthwatering encounter between ASHGOLD FC VS DWARFS FC. @rascozy, don’t that one and support your favourite Dwarfs fc!!!
tell him big bro
The title is clear “Crowd Pullers Nkana and Mighty Visit Lusaka”, you start blogging on something completely off topic. Isn’t there a blog somewhere on the net where you could do this appropriately?
@Kasama or Kasapa Boy do yourself a service by contacting Zamfoot on the main objective of this site.
The main objective of this site is very clear to everyone. The site is there for the sake of Zambian football. African football in general can be discussed on http://www.cafonline.com, while world football in general can be discussed at http://www.fifa.com, However when Zambia has date with a particular National team, a debate goes on running up to the date of that particular game
Our last debate was on the match Kenya vs us and that was won. Therefore our focus for most of us fans/supporters is on how Zambian football can be improved
its zambianfootball thats the name of the site, zambianfootball get that and think then u will know the objective of this site
Epologilamu Mighty iwina ichungulo….Wapya baisa.
I like the advert on Mighty Mufulira Wanderers, jersey. It shows the club is advertising for some sponsor (a bank I suppose) who are paying some money. I think it is the same for Nkana. I say this because I have observed that some clubs like Nchanga Rangers, Red Arrows etc. have names of sponsor and club name printed on their jerseys. KCM on Brave and Red Arrows on the jersey that Arrows use. Why can’t these clubs find other sponsors like Mighty and Nkana have done? This way the clubs can get some cash to add on to what the mines and ZAF are contributing. In Europe I have seen in most countries that clubs do not have a permanent name for their home grounds, but have instead negotiated with certain firms that are willing to pay and have the stadium named after the company name for a specified period (on contractual basis). It is from a contract of 2 to 4 years
Please do not misquote me on this, I am talking about stadiums owned by clubs
Clubs like Nkana, Power and Dynamos can cash in on this, as these have a large number of followers. For example Barclays Bank mighty be willing to pay 20 million a year to have Nkana Stadium named Barclays Bank Arena, for a period of 3 or 4 years. If things go well the contract can be extended or another sponsor can be found. We have to move forward
Just an opinion
Ba Justice touchwood and that’s what we should’ve done for heroes and proceeds going to maintenance-heroes despite being newer than Levy already looks older (running track smudged with mud and stained, toilets with used condoms order of the day according to info from cleaning company and toilets publicly being used at times)
Clubs like Nkana, Power and Mighty
Well done to Ayew, Zambian players should have the same ambitions and perseverance. I hope we will be saying the same about a Zambian player sometime soon. I commend Mayuka for choosing the Jacob Mulenga way and signing with a second division team in france so he can get the game time and hopefully get back to scoring goals. Chisamba is another one who will sooner rather than later also move to a bigger team.
You guys wonder why these west African players have so much attitude when the face us? so much confidence? because they face and play against the best players in the world every or every other weekend. so when they play us the know there is nothing extraordinary or nothing they have to seen before. Its all about confidence and experience! Not us, with the majority of our players playing in non descript leagues facing average or below average players. Ghana would have walloped us with those young right and left backs we had this past weekend, and yet some fools talk about YES GIVE GEORGE A CONTRACT?!! WTF???!!Do we really have serious people taking decisions?????? Until a local coach is able to LEAD A ZAMBIAN TEAM TO THE CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL, he should NOT be given the head coaching JOB on a permanent basis!!!!!
Chisamba has a lot of work to do otherwise he will end up going down the drain, he has what it takes to be a great player but mostly he’s moves end up in nothing, no assist (National Team),when he has the ball, it’s either it will end up a throw in or the opponent will grab it away from him, with he’s dribbling skills he needs to learn to be an impact player and he’s moves s should be accurate and on point, wish he could watch the likes of gibby mbasela or when they dribble a cross would end up being a goal or a shot on goal.
Imwe, whats happened to Nkana? Aren’t they defending champions? Is this because of the death of Matsauso Mwale or a loss of talent? From top to mid-table its just mind boggling.
Zesco defending champions
Sorry Uncle Bobs, I must have been confused. Kanshi Load Shedding is happening on the pitch as well?
On a lighter note, I think I have a solution to more goals being scored, we must go back to the rules which we were applying during our time of playing ichimpombwa. We never used to play 90 minutes but goals would determine what time the game would end. It will be something like 5 change goal 10 finish. If u don’t score 5 goals no half time. We would play one game for two days until 10 goals are scored. BOMA IYANGANEPO APA. Lol.
Very practical boss-kekekekeke.
Lol. League ku pwa shani ninshi..lol.
If not mistaken J-League sometime back would never allow a draw in any game, a draw would always go to extra time then penalties until a winner comes up, the reasoning behind was to have sharp strikers.
Mayuka has come off the bench and scored in France this boy was just wasting his pressure time at that useless club where wanyama plays. The Kenyan was hammered by zambia just last week.
Mayuka scored in the 73rd minute to put Metz in front
Ba john naimwe Saints ain’t useless but have a pedigree (Matthew Le Tissier twalemutamba mu Big League Soccer before Mayuka was born) beyond Mayuka. Learn to let go my brother. Saints are in the EPL a bigger league than Ligue 1 which is even a notch higherr than where Mertz are. Wanyama infact was being sought by Spurs which should tell you about his worth and salary!
Let’s be objective. Argentina losing to Germany in the final didn’t make Ozil better than Messi, some logic!!!!Victor Wanyama while at Celtic not long ago held firm against Barca like Sinkala did against Yaya Toure in 2012 (but didn’t really make it in Europe)
Big league soccer, waoo….. you take me aback Bobs
Uncle bobs wanyama is nothing! He will always be nothing no matter what club he plays for. He was average against zambia. Zambia will continue hammering wanyama wherever he plays. Zambians are very capable of producing the same thing he does in england. Unfortunately the few Zambians that went there were never given chance. Wanyama that boy is nothing he failed to contain mbesuma and kalaba.
@ZAMFOOT just a quick question. Why is the league table showing 3 teams having played 22 games and the rest 23 games. Does this add up
Thanks
pliz ba zamfoot we need Live updates on our local ligue.

At last Sunzu this afternoon came on in the 70h minute and helped his team keep a clean sheet.
Power appear not to have a goal getter of note! During the transfer window they went for “hot shot” Patson Daka! Now look where they r headed…mid table.
Still nil nil the game involving Khana and Zanaco
