The Zambia U20 Women’s National Team thrashed South Africa 3-0 in their opening match of the ongoing COSAFA U20 Girls Championship| Region V Youth Games.
Bwalya Namute Chileshe opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a brilliant close range finish after an amazing run.
Lweendo Hanongo headed in a second in the 34th minute to double the lead.
Lombanya Mwewa sealed the win in the dying minutes to complete a comfortable win for the Young Copper Queens.
The team is a mixture of the U20 Girls and U17 Girls and are being coached by Assistant coach Charity Nthala in the absence of Florence Mwila who is set to travel to Liberia for a CAF A coaching course.
Next for the Young Copper Queens is a Clash with Angola on Monday.
