Cosafa sides dominate Quarter Finals

Three Southern African countries have qualified to the quarter finals of the CAF 2022 Women’s African Cup of Nations in Morocco.

African power houses South Africa are joined by Botswana and Zambia in the last eight.

Host Morocco and Tunisia will be representing North Africa while Nigeria, Senegal and Cameroon are the three sides from West Africa.

East Africa duo Uganda and Burundi failed to go past the group stage.

Two quarter finals clashes will see North and Southern African face off with host Morocco up against Botswana on Wednesday.

On Thursday, favourites South Africa will play Tunisia, who advanced as one of the best losers having just picked a win.

The peak of the ties will be Thursday’s clash between Nigeria and Cameroon as the two giants their rivalry in a 6pm kick off.

The Copper Queens’ match against Senegal match will be played on Wednesday.

A semi final place will earn teams a place at the World Cup.
