Zambia Under-17 Women’s National Team captain Lubasi Pumulo and Jessy Zulu have been included in the Zambia Under-20 squad that is currently in camp preparing for the return match of the third round 2022 Costa Rica FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifier match against Ghana set for this weekend in Accra.
Green Buffaloes Women Football Club skillful midfielder Lubasi Pumulo was instrumental for the Coach Kaluba Kangwa drilled lasses in all the matches for the Copper Princesses as she went on to be named as the player of the Tournament at the just ended 2020 AUSC Region 5 Youth Games – COSAFA Under-17 Championship in Maseru, Lesotho where they minted Gold.
On the other hand, Pataaki Girls striker Jessy Zulu was a thorn in the opponents half and scoring 2 goals at the tournament plus being named player of the Match in the first game against Botswana.Pumulo and Zulu will be a great addition to the Coach Charles Haluboono drilled lasses who have all to play for when they face Ghana in the return match on Saturday 18th December, 2021 in Accra.
Zambia and Ghana drew 0-0 in the first leg played a fortnight ago in Lusaka at Nkoloma Stadium and the Young Copper Queens are expected to leave for Accra on Wednesday night ahead of the Saturday showdown.
