Can Zesco end Arrows’ 2 months unbeaten run?

Champions Zesco United host Red Arrows in a Week 1 rescheduled MTN Super League on Wednesday at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Red Arrows are the in-form team in the league after Power Dynamos’ resurgence was halted by Nkana on Sunday.

The last team to inflict defeat on Red Arrows was newly promoted side Kansanshi Dynamos in October, and since then, the airmen have been having a steady rise on the table, a point off top four.

The Nkoloma based outfit can equal Power Dynamos’ 5 successive wins with a win on Wednesday against the 8 times Zambian Champions.

Having played 14 matches each, Zesco United and Arrows are only separated by a point.

This kid Enoch Sakala is being frozen out at Zesco United.

While Arrows will receive some plaudits for their form, it’s been a case of cat and mouse at Levy Mwanawa Stadium as some fans have been calling for the axe of coach Numba Mumanga.

Surprisingly should Zega win their two games in hand [against Red Arrows and Prison Leopards], they will go level on points with leaders Green Buffaloes.

Numba is expected to maintain the back five of goalkeeper Ian Otieno, Sam Mkandawire, Solomon Sakala, Peter Manyang and John Chishimba.

In midfield, Dickson Chapa and Thabani Kamusoko will shield the back four with Spencer Sautu and Kelvin ‘Kemuka’ Kampamba offering the attacking side.

Upfront Edward Lungu and Jesse Were are expected to get the nod ahead of Chitiya Mususu and Enoch Sakala Jnr.

Tresor Tshibwabwa is one of the best defender in the league

After tasting continental football, Arrows want to return and in Ricky Banda, they have found a gem to can guide them back to Africa.

Banda is expected to lead the attack alongside veteran striker James Chamanga.

While Felix Bulaya is still out [illness], Congolese defender Tresor Tshibwabwa, Saddam Yusuf Phiri and Prosper Chiluya are all expected to return to the side having being rested in the 2-0 win over Chambishi over the weekend.

While Arrows will play Indeni in the first match of the double header on Sunday, Zanaco will have Zesco United to contend with at Nkoloma Stadium.
