Copper Queens move up to 69th on Coca-Cola World RankingsĀ 

The Zambia Women’s National Team is now ranked 69th in the World and 7th in Africa following the release of the new FIFA Coca-Cola World Rankings. 

The Copper Queens have moved eight places after their FIFA Women’s World Cup maiden appearance. 

Nigeria are the Highest ranked team in Africa, They are ranked 32nd in the World. 

Africa Champions are ranked 45th, Cameroon 56th and Morocco are now ranked 58th after their amazing World Cup debut. 

Sweden are the new World number one taking over from the USA who have dropped to third place. 

World Champions Spain are ranked second, England are fourth and France close the top five bracket.

The Copper Queens recorded impressive results prior to the FIFA Women’s World Cup drawing 3-3 with Switzerland and recording a historical 3-2 win over  Germany thanks to a late Barbra Banda goal

Despite suffering heavy defeats in the opening two games they came back to beat Costa Rica 3-1 to record their first win and Barbra Banda netting the 1000th goal in Women’s World Cup history
