The team, which arrived in South Africa on Tuesday, is using the international window to fine-tune preparations for the TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) to be held in Morocco from 5–26 July 2025.

The Copper Queens’ engagement against Botswana forms part of a three-nation friendly series that also involves hosts and reigning African champions South Africa.

The series kicked off on Wednesday, with Banyana Banyana edging Botswana 3-2 in the opening fixture.
