The Zambia Women National Team captain Misozi Zulu and striker Rachel Kundananji have joined camp upon arrival from their base in Kazakhstan to boost coach Beauty Mwamba’s head of next Wednesday’s Olympic qualifier against Zimbabwe.
The duo who ply their trade for UEFA campaigners BIIK Kyzghurt arrived in the early hours of Friday. The technical bench are still waiting for confirmation of the availability of Spain based star Barbara Banda.
The duo are high on morale as they are coming home barely a week after making history by becoming the first and second Zambian players to score in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
The duo scored a goal each in BIIK Kazygurt 4-1 win over Finish side Pallokerho-35 Vantaa on 14th August to help the team progress to the round of 32. Misozi opened the scores in the 23rd minute while Kundananji added a third goal in the 60th minute.
The Copper Queens host Zimbabwe on Wednesday at Nkoloma Stadium at 15:00hrs before travelling to Harare for the return leg four days later.
