The Zambia U17 Women’s National Team Friday evening held their first training session in Santiago de los Caballeros just a day after arriving in the Dominican Republic for the eighth edition of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.
Carol Kanyemba’s Princesses took to a natural field in central Santiago de los Caballeros to shake off some fatigue following their trip to the Dominican Republic, a country hosting the global event for the first time.
The Copper Princesses looked sharp as they adapted to the humid conditions of the Caribbean climate followed by rain during practice.
They will face Brazil in the opener on 18 October before taking on Poland and Japan in Group D. All Zambia’s group matches will be played at the Estadio Felix Sanchez in Santo Domingo.
