Chipolopolo off to Yaoundé for Chad reverse fixture

The Chipolopolo has left for Yaoundé, Cameroon aboard a chartered flight for the Morocco 2025 Group G Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad.

The 23-member squad is without the injured Lawrence Mulenga and skipper Clatous Chama who has been excused due to a family situation.

China based Evans Kangwa has again unexpectedly left camp claiming he preferred returning to his club and will not be part of Tuesday’s match against Chad.

Mulenga who sustained facial injuries on Friday will miss the match while Young Boys midfielder Miguel Chaiwa is in a tight race for fitness after limping off during the match.

Zambia will play Chad on Tuesday in the reverse fixture in Yaoundé.

  1. A player who prefers club over country during international breaks does not deserve to wear national colours. Not even a supporters shirt. He or she is unpatriotic & deserves the freedom to play for his club without mocking the nation by sjowing up as & when he / she is ready.
