Christine Mwale grabs brace in Zambia big win at COSAFA Schools tournament 

Misisi Queens United diminutive play maker Christine Mwale scored a brace on Friday afternoon for the Zambia U15 Girls National Team in their big win. 

The Little Princesses silenced Angola 8-nil in the ongoing 2023 African Schools Championship | COSAFA Qualifiers taking place in Zimbabwe.

Christine who is popularly known as Kanono and  a fans favourite in Misisi scored two goals while player of the match Presida Katongo and Naomi Banda grabbed hat tricks each for the little Copper Princesses. 

Zambia edged Madagascar 3-nil in the other match played later in the afternoon.

Unfortunately for the coach Grace Mwango drilled lasses they could not make it to the finals after missing out on two games which were declared as walkovers due to late arrival on match day one. 

Zambia finished third in Group B with 6 points, one behind second-placed Namibia and six points behind the unbeaten finalists and log leaders South Africa who have a 100% winning record scoring 28 goals and yet to concede. 

The final day is slated for tomorrow which will see Malawi and Namibia battling it out in the third and fourth play off encounter at 09h00 which will be followed by what is expected to be a mouthwatering final between South Africa and Botswana at 11h00.
