Nkwazi Football Club has appointed Aggrey Chiyangi as head coach as earlier reported by the ZamFoot Crew.
Chiyangi takes over from Dennis Makinka who recently left the club to join Nkana Football as assistant to Ian Bakala.
The newly appointed coach who has penned a two year deal was unveiled this afternoon at the Service Headquarters in Lusaka.
“Nkwazi Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Agrey Chiyangi as Head Coach, effective immediately. Chiyangi, who has signed a two-year contract, succeeds Dennis Makinka, who recently joined Nkana FC.
Chiyangi is well-acquainted with the Zambian league, having previously coached teams such as Nkana FC, Nchanga Rangers, and Green Eagles, among others.”
Zambia Police Inspector General Graphel Musamba, who was also in attendance, expressed optimism about the appointment.
“Given Coach Chiyangi’s vast experience, I am confident the team is in capable hands.” The Inspector General stated.
The Inspector General emphasised that the club has high expectations for the team, including winning the league, the ABSA Cup, and competing in continental football. He also urged the team to uphold high standards of discipline, reflecting the esteemed image of the institution.
Club Chairman Bradley Mweene expressed confidence in Chiyangi’s ability to meet expectations, citing his extensive experience in the league. Mweene also challenged Chiyangi to achieve even greater success than the team’s performance last season.
