Chivuta says he’s still useful to national team

Noah Chivuta says winning the Thai division 1 League with club Nakhon Ratchasima has shown that he is still useful to the Zambia national team.

Chivuta, who has been instrumental to his team’s leap to the premier league, said his performance this season had shown that he still had a lot to contribute to the national team.

He was voted player of the week and month total thirteen times.

“With my performance this season, I think I am still useful to the national team. It’s however the coach’s decision and I respect that. I have played all games this season and being the player of the month for three times in a season can show that. I thought the national team is for players who are performing well…but, tell me if I am wrong,” Chivuta said.

Chivuta explained that he would work hard next season to impress his expectant fans going the premier tier. The left-footed player spent most of his playing career in South Africa with Hellenic F.C, Pietersburg Pillars, Dangerous Darkies, City Pillars, Bidvest Wits, Supersport and Maritzburg United. – See more at:

  1. he was not even playing in the thai top division and he thinks he can dream of the national team. Thailand is pathetic end of story there is nothing there.

  2. Thanks for service in the past. Even in his peak playing in South Africa he was not a regular player in the National set up. Take for example Afcon 2012 i think he only played one game or so as a substitute.

Thanks though for still showing interest.

  3. Though I personaly won’t get surprised if he gets called,Chivuta, with the comedy being acted by our clown BOZO.HOnestly, you have in plans those boys ,Zulu and friends and leave out Evans and Alex.

  4. Yes in those very small friendly games with teams like Taifa stars and when he is on season break so that we do not have our present dependable so getting injuries and waste tax payers money for air ticket.moreover we can only play Taifa Stars on a non FIFA date.

  5. Noah chivuta has got a deadly left foot, he is good @ free kicks, and he z one of th few players we hav who cn play as a left back, striker, and lEft winger. Just bcz he plays in th thai League , it doesn’t mean he shuldnt b selctd to th squad. If fwayo who ddint hv a club was pickd, chivuta who plays football weEk in wEEk out cn also b picked. Watch som of his videos on youtube you will see wat m talkin abt.

  6. If Chivuta can prove more talented than his peers then he should get called up. Otherwise the answer is no. New blood is about talent and performance not just youth.

  7. Why do we hate chivuta so much that, we even pause for a second, to watch what he is doing at his club. I don’t think he is such a bad player. Its just that most of the analysts on this site analyse soccer from hearsay and not from what they see. From the look of things Khodwani Mtonga will never be called to the national team because he plies in the IPL and yet it(IPL) is even better than the ZPL. Let us stop this prejudice. Noah has never disappointed me at national level.

  8. I still remember how he turned a Sudanese player inside put pa Levy…Pity we drew that game and no one took notice… The door is and should be open for all players enjoying great form and capable of bringing value to the team.. Ma zina iyayi…
