Chisi Mbewe and Namazaba back in Tanzania to complete CAF A coaching course

Red Arrows head coach Chisi Mbewe and Green Eagles assistant coach Alex Namazaba have returned to Tanzania to complete their CAF A coaching license, the ZamFoot Crew can reveal.

Mbewe and Namazaba left for Dar es Salam yesterday for their final module to complete their course.

The duo started their course last year in August when they traveled to Dar es Salaam in pursuit of a CAF A Coaching license tomake them eligible to sit on the bench in CAF continental football.

In the absence of Chisi Mbewe, Goalkeeper coach Kalililo Kakonje will take charge of the Airmen in the ABSA Cup with the help of technical director, Oswald Mutapa.

Mbewe guided the Airmen to a third place finish in Super League last season to qualify for CAF inter-clubs competition after a nine-year wait.

A CAF A License, or its equivalent, is a compulsory requirement for all coaches managing clubs that are participating in CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup tournaments.

The Airmen have continued building on that trajectory as they lead the log and look set to win their first league title since 2004.
