Ackim Mumba scored to earn Zanaco a 2-1 win over Power Dynamos at Heroes Stadium on Sunday.
Moses Phiri gave the bankers a first half lead off a Felix Bulaya pass.
After the break, Kennedy Musonda scored a stunning goal as Power Dynamos equalized.
With the Kitwe giants enjoying possession and pushing for a winner, the bankers broke in a breath taking counter attack.
Kelvin Kapumbu spotted Moses Phiri and the Zanaco striker’s switch found Mumba, who beat goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga to score the winning goal .
WRONG CALL
The Bankers thought they were headed to score a third after Moses Phiri was released in his own half with a defender ahead of him.
The Match officials however signaled for offside, a poor and wrong call that robbed both Moses and Zanaco a chance to score a third goal.
The win finally ends Zanaco’s nine-game winless run with a hard-fought win. The bankers had also not scored in four games prior to this afternoon.
The Bankers now move up to 9th position on the log with 34 points, just six points shy of Nkana in fourth place.
