Zambia’s envoys in the 2021/22 CAF Confederation Cup Red Arrows will this afternoon lock horns with Tanzanian giants Simba SC in the pre-group stage of the Competition.
The Airmen Head Coach Chisi Mbewe has declared his charges ready to take on Simba but must work extra hard in order to make it to the next round of the Competition.
“The preparations have been going so well this is the game that everyone is looking forward to, the team is ready,” Chisi told the ZamFoot Crew.
“Yes Simba has been in this competition for a while now and we know what to expect in Tanzania, we know it won’t be an easy game but the most important thing is for us to Fight,” he added.
Coach Mbewe confirmed to the ZamFoot Crew that the team is injury-free and he urged the fans back home to rally behind the team.
“It’s a 20-man squad with the likes of James Chamanga, Prosper Chiluya, and Benedict Chapeshi, we don’t have any injuries in the team, we are representing the nation and we ask the fans to rally behind the team and show support so that the team does it’s a job out in Tanzania.”
Red Arrows will be away to Simba and Zanaco Football Club will be hosting Binga of Mali in the first leg of the Total CAF Confederation Cup pre-group stage this afternoon.
Zanaco are at the National Heroes Stadium at Heroes Stadium with kick-off set for 15:00.
Arrows clash with Simba will kick off at 15:00 at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar-es-Salaam.
