Chipolopolo winger Chipyoka Songa opened his goal account for the season on Tuesday evening helping Hapoel Petah Tikva to a resounding win.
Songa netted a brace as Hapoel Petah Tikva to a 3-0 win over Ashdod at the Ya’A Stadium in the Toto Cup.
Chipyoka put Petah Tikva in the lead in the 22nd minute, when Jocelyn Tabi put in a tremendous deep ball to Chipioka Songa, who went on a wonderful personal move before unleashing an excellent ball into the far corner of the goal.
12 minutes later, the duo of Tabi and Songa struck again, Tabi completed a pair of personal assists with a wonderful cross towards the former Lusaka Dynamos winger, who, facing an open half of the goal, did not hesitate and doubled the score.
Petah Tikva added a third in additional time, in the 93rd minute, substitute Noam Cohen received a great ball inside the box from Mounam Gissin, who also came off the bench, and easily rolled the ball into the corner of Omer Katz’s goal, sealing the result.
He will be hoping to continue this fine form ahead of Chipolopoloās World Cup qualifiers later this year.
