Zambia have clinched a high profile friendly against South Africa to be played on January 4th as part of the preparations for the Equatorial Guinea Africa Cup of Nations.
According to information obtained by the ZamFoot Crew, the Chipolopolo will set up base at their usual Johannesburg base on the 26th of January and will play Bafana Bafana at Orlando Stadium 13 days before the tournament kick-off.
The game will give coach Honour Janza a good idea of the shape of his team ahead his team’s first game against Congo DR.
South Africa were one of the in-form teams in the qualifiers for the 2015 AFCON and will provide a good test for the Zambian team.
Zambia goes into camp on 26th December, 2014 as the team begins it’s preparations. This will be a fully fledged squad while the locals starts ‘trials’ this weekend.
gud
We need to meet an Arab team and a west African team apart from meeting South Africa. Then We will know where We stand.
dats nt wat we need!a game with euro team wil b beta nd west africa team
Zamfoot i think its 26th December not January.
Great game and will give Chipolopolo a good litmus test. FAZ must also consider playing Algeria that have been grouped against a Southern African Team and may also need the friendly…
I have been praying for this to happen so dat we can teach these south africans how to play football.Cant wait to watch dis game.
This is a good arrangement, well done FAZ,this friendly match will definitely tune both SADC nations for the tournament.
Oops! No flying tackles please as the tournament is near.
It doesn’t matter what team we play, what matters is the tecnical psychol aproach to the afcon
Give them under20,they will be taught a lesson.
I think the senior team should play against the under 17 which is demolishing teams in Zimbabwe.
Zambia will give SA a good run,it will be also gud to play Egypt
I ‘ll be there to cheer them up.
I thinking will be Zambia being given a good run.
OK nice one. But we need another friendly preferably with one North African Arab team.
