Chipolopolo to face Morocco, Cameroon and Gambia in June

The Chipolopolo will play three high profile friendly matches in June . This is after The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) clinched three high profile international friendly matches against Morocco, Gambia and Cameroon.

The team will be hosted by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation from June 6 – 17 the period within which the three friendly matches will be staged.

The 2012 Africa Cup of Nations Champions will play the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon on June 9th before facing Gambia threedays later and finally the Atlas Lions of Morocco on June 16th.

Morocco and Cameroon will use the friendly matches to prepare for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations to be played in Egypt from June 21 to July 19. Zambia will miss the tournament after coming third in their group during qualifiers.

FAZ CLINCHES MOROCCO, CAMEROON FRIENDLIES
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has clinched three high profile international friendly matches against Morocco, Gambia and Cameroon.
FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala says the Royal Moroccan Football Federation will host the Chipolopolo boys from June 6 – 17 and stage an international friendly match on June 16 against the Herve Renard drilled side.
During the same camp, Zambia will face Cameroon on June 9, 2019 in Madrid with another international friendly match against Gambia on the cards set for June 12, 2019.
Morocco and Cameroon will be using the friendly matches to prepare for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations to be played in Egypt from June 21 to July 19.
Kashala said the Moroccan invitation was part of the benefits accruing as a result of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FAZ and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
“This is a huge step towards giving our team as much international exposure as possible by playing quality opposition,” Kashala said.
The Chipolopolo boys is looking to prepare for the Cameroon 2020 CHAN qualifier against Botswana in July.

  1. Lets take these games seriously. Assemble the strongest team possible so that we build coordination and infuse new talent that will take us into the future. We needed to have a full time coach by now, Ba FAZ what is taking so long to recruit. We seem to have gone quiet on that one.

  2. lets ensure that the team is strong enough to avoid disappointments on the Zambian side and pliz equip the boys not to be so reluctant during the matches
