2012 AFCON winner Davies Nkausu believes the 2027 AFCON Group I qualifiers are a fair draw for Chipolopolo but is concerned about whether Zambia still has enough quality and depth to qualify for a third successive Africa Cup of Nations.
Chipolopolo’s Group I opponents are Togo, Burundi, and including 1990 and 2019 AFCON champions Algeria.
Togo and Algeria are familiar quantities for Chipolopolo in FIFA and AFCON engagements, while Zambia has only faced Burundi at CECAFA and in friendlies.
