The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has announced that Zambia will host a four nations tournament that will feature national teams from Angola, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
FAZ President Andrew made the announcement during a TV interview on ZNBC where he stated that the four teams will feature full strength teams in the tournament as the games will be played on the next FIFA dates which run from 19-27 March, 2018.
“We will have all the foreign based players available as this tournament will be played on a FIFA Calendar date,” Kamanga said.
With CAF having moved the Africa Cup qualifying games which were scheduled for March to later in the year. the games are expected to help the national teams active.
Zambia’s next scheduled official match is on 7th September, 2018 against Namibia in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The venue of the games is yet to be announced.
Good move…next time bring in teams with a much higher ranking so that we boost our position on the ranking ladder and avoid ‘trouble’ in the next world cup qualifiers…
