  3. Zamfoot your article on where Zambia will play is missing in your incomplete last sentence.

    Host cities
The host cities for each group…
    Group A – Bata
    Group B – Ebibeyin
    Group C – Mongomo
    Group D – Malabo

  4. If we sleep against DR Congo or Cape Verde it will be a very difficult match. Tunesia are giants and are resurgent. Technicaly they will be excellent.

Zambia play DR Congo first, then Verde and then Tunesia. Each game a big game!

  5. Chikchap, you are 360 degrees out of phase. We are talking of how Zambia will fare in Group B. Back to the topic; It’s time to beat Cape Verde yet again now on neautral venue. The Arabs (Tunisia) should now be beaten after suffering for quite a long time now. As for DRC it will be a battle as usual with our neighbours. Remember, the 1974 finals. Let the games begin.

  6. I dont see us going through especialy with the clueles janza at the helm. corupt kalu had said it himself that no zambian is ready to coach chipolopolo. this time you wil see how good cape verd is not that formality we won. tunisia is another team that wil whitewash us…

  7. Janza is crap he wil carry chamanga and bench jacob then play malama at right back. then he wil play small boys like charles zulu and musakanya and sate sate (am a nkana die hard- but this boy is NOT africa cup material).

  8. Aha! Time to put Cape Verde in it’s place.

Even though I think we have a weaker side than the 2012 afcon winning side, I fancy out chances to qualify from the group.

I would expect that while all representatives of participating teams are in Equatorial Guinea, Great Kalu and his cohorts to engage Algeria specifically in serious talks for a possible friendly before the games start.

  9. Zambia is a soccer giant,Tunisia is the only threat. @ afcon level we have played them four times we’ve lost twice drawn twice but we can break record. Congo vs Zambia will be like a local derby and u know how derbies come out. Playing cape Verde for the third time in a short period will be rather tricky for us but with the right attitude, adequate preparation and good player combination can take us thru to the finals. DRC will be like Kalaba & Singuluma’s 2nd country. Whatever Nazo means, i guess it wont be easy for the two lads. Lets go get them guys. Go Zambia GOAL!

  10. Wow zambia actually fancies itself qualifying thru this grp while putting down teams like ghana. Funny and unfortunate. We’ll see I guess.

Btw the website’s has improved and is very snappy…unlike our very own ghanasoccernet which is buggy and laggy as snails

  11. The backline from defensive mid is a serious point of concern.. North African teams do us bad, DRC has pacy and attack minded players (as Cote D’voire), Cape Verde will remember how they easily slipped past the Donashano-Munthali combination.. At this rate Kondwani Mutongo and even Joseph Musonda are welcome..kaya what defence miracle we can work from the local lads. All in all its possibly the fiarest draw we can ask for.

  12. Donashano against Bolas of Aston villa my word, the Coach now with his business partner Kalu now need to come to their senses and know that this is no time for marketing players who will even fail to get a contract in S.African,I mean players like Malama, Munthali, that boy Zulu, playing Musakanya in place of Lungu and please leave Chamanga out completely.Call Jacob back,Mtonga and Chama.

  13. What i mean is DR.Congo has come like the second home for Kalaba and Singuluma with massive support from the club and fans, so they won’t put in the best.

  14. what a group just the thing we need, last time it was said that the group was a walk over.to bad 9j are not around cause then the cup will be in our hands again for a second time after 2 years, not a bad record.lets play friendz with top countries in the world not african`s

  15. Zambia cannot afford to take players with small stature like Sate Sate and Musakanya to Afcon. We’ll be outmuscled by the teams at the tournament who have huge frames and we’ll lose the aerial duels. Congo DR is the most deadly opponent in our group. They have many good players in Europe like Yusuf Mulumbu and Bolasie. We’re lucky Christian Benteke chose to play for Belgium. Tunisia are in a rebuilding phase and will not be as deadly as they were when they beat us 1-4 with players like Santos. We need to be wary of the speed, trickery and intelligent movement and interchange of passes by Cape Verde, but we have what it takes to contain or defeat them. Sinkala needs a player in the mould of Chansa to partner him and seal the gaps we have recently seen in our defensive midfield position. Malama and Munthali are not Afcon material. I would even prefer Joseph Musonda as a right sided wingback because he’s able to maraud forward, deliver accurate crosses and track back quickly. He’s still got it from what I have seen at Polokwane City. Jacob needs to be brought back for his pace, power and height which is crucial at this level.

    • I agree that Sate should be doing sate sate (thirty) minutes at the end as this may just spell the end for him if he is outmuscled (although he also out-thinks) by imibabe! Let Evans with speed start ahead of him and probably partner Mayuka with Evans as top man and not vice-versa

  16. 4 me,i fil DRC wl gv us a gd run.bt if we beat them,we’l gain confidence and we’l beat Cape Verde.I havent watchd Tunisia lately bt most of thz Arab teams hv gone down, luking at the way they r playn.Evn Algeria, they qualified wth 15points jst becoz they had weak teams in the qualifying grp.

  17. How i wish Mbesuma & Mukuka would be @ their best coz Mbesuma is our most lethal striker with trickery accuracy and power. For me Mbesuma is better than Mayuka with both on their good day.The strikers we need for afcon are:Evans Kangwa,Mayuka,Jacob,Kola,Kampamba & Mbesuma. Right back we nid Nkausu,D.Yobe,Kabaso & Jimmy Chisenga. If Mbola can work on his tracking back,he can be unsurpassed coz i like him more going forward-he is so attack minded. Sunzu & Nyambe partnership is better than Sunzu & Himonde partnership. Nathan is not at his best due to lack of game time. One advantage we had @ afcon 2012 was that most of our players were enjoying game time and also we had in our startimg XI Sunzu,Sinkala,Himonde & Kalaba playing in one TP MAZEMBE club which helped them to gel well. Since most teams are rebuilding, i believe we will make good account of ourselves. Once we pass thru the group stage then we meet a team from group A which i think is the fairest of all. Ghana & Ivory Coast are in trouble, they are in tough groups. ZAMBIA ARE CHAMPIONS!!”

  18. Its a very tough group. We must go in there with humility otherwise we will not even see what hit us. Prepare well first of all.

  19. Fair group indeed. I personally prefer diifficult teams they way we had senegal, lybia and host in 2012 but came first.

DRC, and CAPE VERDE will be very difficult for us. MY GROUPD OF DEATH IS D…camroon, ivory coast, gunne, mali

  20. With our current crop of players I don’t see us pulling through from this Group. With Janza as coach we are dead and buried, let us not dream. Tunisia, DR Congo and CV will all be tough opponents and will kick us pants Down

We just do not have the players and coach that can make us win AFCON and that is the truth. When you play bench warmers like Sinkala, Mayuka etc, how do you expect to win AFCON? only in our dreams. Look back and think of 2012, players were on top the game, not this time around. Sorry I will call a spade a spade and not a BIG spoon. In Zambia we like to be praised even when we well know we are crap, awe that is not the way it is

    Just tell me why has Sinkala been playing in the qualifiers? Answers is simple; Selection to the A team is based o the following;

    1. Past performance
    2. Oil the stupid coach/bench
    3. Potential sales object with vultures hovering around
The above is true and that is what we are known for. Without proper and serious team selection we will never ever win anything apart from the useless COSAFA

    I rest my case

  21. And this Janza which Premier league club did the idiot coach and won anything? Educate me. Just his name is equal to failure

And Kalu is a parasite, a ka mosquito feeding on any thing. I for one has lost respect for people like him. Bootlickers go ahead and lick his ass

  22. Zambian football should not be turned into politics. Leave the fans alone, cause if you don’t we will deal with you quaks

  23. Surely we don’t need players like Jacob who even fails to trap a simple ball. let’s no play names, what football has jacob played for Zambia, because even the goals he scores are usually tap-ins. Let’s get players like Sate Sate who know where the goal is. Players who are skillful on the ball and know how to put away chances. I hope Janza won’t listen to those who are calling for the inclusion of players like Jacob, Chamanga, Felix, Musonda etc, let them rest they are now tired. we need players with hunger and skill. On Dinasho Musonda and munthali I agree these are not national team material. I would use Nkausu in place of Dinasho. I am sure some of the people who are positing against young players here could involve any of these (Jacob, Chris, Felix, Chamanga, Joseph Musonda).

  24. so which of them will be tough for ghana, is it the just turn around team bafana, or the recent qualifed and fluke algeria with such a
poor afcon record( you qualify for group stages in worldcup and boasting with such a pale record?)?, for me, ghana should only be watchfull of senegal and alow the other teams in this group to talk. its always their habbit.

  25. @Cast don’t mind dem…the algeria they are hyping for wc round 16 qualification is very funny. Gh since 2008 has consistently made the semis. Don’t worry, we’re winning this grp and hopefully afcon as well

  26. plz lets b srius with bola yapa z; dere is nthing like fair grup. just recall de way we sufad to qaulify afcon2015. i agree janza shud give a thought b4 tabalamupontela.domishono is not a matriol twapapata plz .why dont u resign you so called KALU coz we ‘re fedup of u instructing chipolopolo coches who 2 feture.nowanda we can not well in game of futboo.

  27. #Ghana just appointed former Chelsea coach avram grant to win afcon 2017 and do well in afcon 2015. I think they are serious about trophy now after almost 3 decades of waiting.
