Cosafa Cup defending champions Zambia kickstarted their business in Durban with a morning session at Rose Park presided over by coach Moses Sichone and his technical staff.
The Chipolopolo open their account on Thursday with tricky tie against the Flames of Malawi at King Zwelithini Stadium.
Sichone is being assisted by part of the cream of local coaches among them Mumamba Numba, Masautso Tembo, Mwenya Chipepo and goalkeeper trainer Davies Phiri.
2012 Africa Cup winning defender Joseph Musonda is the physical trainer for the squad.
Zambia is using the Cosafa as a preparatory tournament for the July month-end African Nations Championship (CHAN)qualifier.
At the Cosafa Zambia is in Group B and will open its account on July 6 against the Flames of Malawi before facing Comoros three days later.
The final group match will be against Seychelles on July 11 at the Princess Stadium.
