Chipolopolo players have come out to reaffirm their commitment to representing Mother Zambia.
The players who were responding to a press briefing by FAZ President Keith Mweemba
earlier today where he alleged sabotage among players and others surrounding the team led to the failed trip to Morocco to play two international friendly matches.
According to a statement by the players shared on their social media pages and monitored by the ZamFoot Crew, the players claim it was the FAZ Executive Committee who cancelled the trip and they were informed on Monday by the team manager of the development.
The players have demanded that their time, efforts and professionalism is met with mutual respect.
According to the same statement, the players say they have never let money owed to them dictate their willingness to represent mother Zambia.

Now who is telling the truth, FAZ or players?
I believe these players. What they get paid at National Team level is nothing but the pitch up always to represent the NATION. Only the Local players get affected by the non payment. But having said that they players abroad, those based in Africa and locally need to be paid what’s owed to them. The Coaches as well.
These guys have sacrificed for years to put on the jersey. This problem of players being owed money has been for 30 yeas or more.
Who are you blaming in this situation of abandoned games?
As a soccer fan I would like to know the truth.
The committee clearly cant cancel a trip or an assignment if players are available.
The statement is just a reaction to save face after being called out. In any case, lets see the talking on the pitch not through statements.
Serious footballers do their talking on the pitch…
