Head Coach Mwenya Chipepo expressed happiness with the results but acknowledged that a lot of work needs to be put in by his team.
Chipepo thanked the fans for coming in numbers to offer support to them.
Chipepo went on to say that there’s room for improvement despite winning and making some improvement in the game against African Stars.
The gaffer mentioned the striking force as one of the key area to work on urgently as they prepare to face Simba in September.
” I am very happy as a coach, and proceeding to the next round has really motivated us,but we need to work extra hard,” Chipepo told the ZamFoot Crew.
“As a team we are making progress and in CAF champions league it’s a learning curve for us , cause it’s been 11 years since we participated in the champions league,” he added.
Boyeli’s goal from the spot was enough to send Abayellow to the next round after being tied 2-2 on aggregate thanks to the away goal rule.
The Kitwe giants have now booked a date with Tanzanian giants Simba SC in the second round.
