Chilumba : We are on course to play Champions League football again

Forest Rangers on Thursday continued their dominance over Kalampa, Nkana as they completed a double over the defending Champions when they beat them 2-1 at Nkana Stadium in Wusakile, Kitwe.

Speaking to the ZamFoot Crew in a post-match interview Forest Rangers coach, Tenant chilumba congratulated his boys for a job well done citing the hat game plan put in place worked well for them.

Chilumba believes his team is on course to make a return to the CAF Champions League after making their debut this season which did not last long.

“Congratulations to the boys we put up a good game especially in the first half, so in the second half we just wanted to just kill off the game which we did well starting from the strikers, midfielders I think our game plan worked because we thought of scoring first and we did that,” Chilumba said.

“To me, the gap with ZESCO is not big we just have to keep on working and focus on our games our objection of course is to play Champions League again,” Chilumba concluded.

Yvan Daily Echabe opened the scores in the 14th minute but the lead was short-lived as Emmanuel Mwiinde restored parity 2 minutes later for the hosts, 11 minutes later however Thomas Chideu put Fole Malembe back in the lead and sealed the match, 2-1.
