As earlier reviewed by Zambianfootball.co.zm, Zanaco midfielder, Charles Zulu has left for Spain aboard an Ethiopian Airline Flight ET 873 at 15:35 hours to attend trials with Spanish La Liga side Elche Club de Futboll after receiving an invitation from the club.
Zulu will train at Elche CF for about three months before a decision is made on whether to offer him a deal. However Elche wants him to train with the team with a view of sealing a permanently deal.
Zanaco coach, Numba Mumamba confirmed the development to Zanaco Media this morning. “The Zanaco Executive Committee is aware about Charles’s move to Spain and they have allowed him to travel.” Said Numba.
When asked if his absence will affect Zanaco’s performance in the league, Numba said “ a gap won’t be created in the team after his departure because we have a good number of players who can fill up his role.
We have Rodrick Kabwe, Augustine Mulenga and Henry Banda. But we will greatly miss him, he was very instrumental in the team.”
Zulu also told Zanaco Media that he is aiming very high, “My ambition is to play for a top European club, I will put everything in God’s hands during my days at Elche. I didn’t expect it to come so soon but am prepared to take up the new challenge and I will do my best to impress.” Said Zulu.
Zulu impressed Elche CF scouts who have been monitoring his performance.
Elche Club de Futbol is a Spanish football team based in Elche province of Alicante in Valencia. They are currently 13th on La Liga Table with 37 points from 34 matches.

Good luck and work hard dear
heard this before so many times. anyone can be offered a trial. elche probably has a dozen or so youngsters they are randomly trying out. mark my words he wil fail. zed players are starting to bore me. today our crop doesnt hav what iy takes to hold down a place even at sundowns or pirates. and the psl is a pathetic ligue. i repeat to make it in europe today you have to be tall and strong and sexy. like me.
They giv him a contract with their reserve side if he impress .
Good luck to the young man
Indeed ku ma trials they are called but same old story of that is not what they were looking for, same good luck and all the best lad.

If you qualify to youth competitions this is what happens
That’s true.
If the guy performs,he wud pave way for th other guys at home.similarly,if mayuka was impresv,th interests of english clubs in our players wud increase.all the best man.
Very true
Je te souhaite une bonne chance zulu
i wanted to reply to stumpy but F-15 has said it all.
All the best Charles zulu
All the best
Very right my brother! To make it in Europe one has to be tall and strong and not someone like Sate Sate, Mukuka Mulenga etc. If one is short, he has to be stocky with muscle and skilful not an average player!
Describe Raheem Sterling and Thulani Serero for me please…
He will make it though it won’t be un easy challenge.the guy knows very well what is at stake, and who are we to judge him?aka lijo …
hehe ati ba homo..lol!
Hope he makes it!
Zanaco has a good youth system, its the best in the country
I agree with u bro, and they dont stand in players way.
My fear of National team interference in selections has been realised!Iknew the boy was being rushed in the senior team national team for exactly this moment!I will agree with those that are skeptical about his chances due to his physical attributes. Its one weak area that has affected us and its incumbent upon club scouts to start addressing this issue by going around the country for talent scouting with an emphasis on this physical aspect. Grabowsky once did it by identifying big, strong players for the national team and putting it as a priority in team selection. You to have exceptional skills, low gravity level to succeed with such a small stature!
When identifying talent there are certain qualities to be considered . When giving scouting report you have to present them . I watched the boy playing at youth afcon given the chance he can play in any league he is in class of chisamba lungu. The boy uses both skill and intelligence .
Ati sexy and tall..pipo expose stupidity here
KU BA STRONG FOR SURE
All the best my. Man…
Nane nipandepo ndemanga. You need a puffed up chest as well, monga Maradona. But he has to love his football the rest will fall in place. Good lack a Zulu.
All the best young man
For trials ati has gone to Spain, but ends up in the not so wanting for at this stage,South African league.
Eih, So a player going for trials only in an average spannish club has generated 41 comments. Ghanasoccernet is joking.
