Chansa, Archibong beef-up Zanaco squad

2012 Africa Cup of Nations gold medal winning midfielder Isaac Chansa has finally been cleared to play for Zanaco.

Chansa was named in the Zanaco squad for the 2015 season but has not featured for the club as he awaited clearance.

Zanaco have confirmed that the midfielder has been given a sixth month contract after receiving his International Transfer Certificate.

The Zanaco squad has also been beefed up by Nigerian striker Utibe Archibong who is set to make his league debut after being cleared to play.

Archibong joined the Bankers from Akwa United at the start of the season on a one year deal at undisclosed fee and he will be playing his second competitive match for Zanaco this year with his first coming in the Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu Charity Shield match against power Dynamos at Arthur Davies in Kitwe.

Both Chansa and Archibong have been named in the Zanaco team to play Zesco United for a spot on top of the log this weekend.
