Zambia national team interim coach Aggrey Chiyangi has named his final 20 member squad to face Eswatini in the final qualifying round, Cameroon 2020 African Nations Championship race on Sunday.
Chiyangi has kept the core of his COSAFA Cup-winning squad with some new additions in Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba, Paul Katema, Kelvin Kapumbu, and Amity Shamende among others.
Chiyangi has set his target on winning the match but will go into the game cautious as Eswatini are not a pushover. The Chipolopolo stand-in gaffer believes a win away will make the return leg easy for his team.
“The most important thing for us as we go there is to focus on a win but again we have to be cautious, we cannot just go there to play an open game, because we know that all the teams have developed so much,” he said.
“Eswatini is playing very good football, so we have to be careful that we don’t lose there, we must make sure that our focus is to win there and then when we come back home, things become easier.”
“We are not going to say we want to come and win here (home), for us we want to go and finish the game in eSwatini so that the game here becomes easier,” he added.
Zambia and eSwatini will battle for a place at the Cameroon 2020 CHAN over two legs. The first leg is on Sunday, September 22 in Manzini with the second leg on October 19 in Ndola at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Off topic .
Patson Daka was very impressive on his first appearance In UEFA champions league. His all-round play and determination was a delight to watch. Most impressive was his speed, Patson is really quick. Already, RB Salzburg look like going very far this year.
Zamfoot , is Patson the firs Zambian to play in UEFA CL- unless E Mayuka, C Musonda or K Bwalya have appeared for their teams???
@GSK11, you are not off topic, in fact iyi e topic ! Kalusha, Charles Musonda, Fwayo Tembo have played champions league football before. Kalus whilst at PSV, Fwayo whilst with that Bulgarian team and Charles Musonda at Anderlecht. In fact Charles played in a semi final against sampdoria. Patson is our greatest hope of finally breaking ( prominently ) in the English league. His stature, style of play is what they like in the EPL. The boy will soon play for a bigger club.
Spot on Pungwa that is why utwana twankoko tatupita round.
I agree with with you 100%the boy has passion for football and he’s not selfish like other players.
Pay Chiyangi his $25,000. After all that’s what you wanted to pay a white man even if he was going to be a dull white man as long as he was white.
