Relegation-threatened Lusaka Dynamos have given themselves a lifeline following a win over Kabwe Warriors while Chambishi has moved out of the relegation zone following a shock win over Power Dynamos.
The Zambia Super League entered week 29 of action on Saturday afternoon with eight matches taking place across the country.
Log leaders, Red Arrows left it late to beat tricky High Flying Nkwazi at Edwin Imboela Stadium to maintain their lead at the summit.
Nelson Mwila opened the scoreline in the 8th minute from a well-curled corner kick.
Malian midfielder Alassane Diarra got an equalizer two minutes to halftime.
Super Substitute Ricky Banda with a bouncing header put Arrows in the lead for the first time in the match in the 78th minute.
Christopher ‘Cadozo’ Zulu brought back the game to level terms for the Police sponsored side with the equalizer in the 86th minute.
With the match ending in a draw, defender Tresor Tshibwabwa scored a well-headed goal in additional time to seal the result for the Airmen.
In the Earlier match, Relegation-threatened Lusaka Dynamos kept their hopes of survival alive when they beat Kabwe Warriors in a five-goal thriller.
Fanwell mapulanga opened the scoring in the 8th minute with a low header which beat former Lusaka Dynamos goalkeeper Danny Munyau.
Godfrey Binga added a second in the 53rd minute after a mistake from Kabwe Warriors defender Marcel Kalonda.
Songa Chipyoka scored the third from a spot-kick after Fanwell mapulanga looked to have been pulled inside the area.
Kabwe Warriors got their first consolation goal in the 84th minute through Dominic Chanda.
Lameck Silwaba scored in the 90th minute to give the match a nervy ending, 3-2 the match ended in favor of Elite.
Elsewhere, Enock Sakala Jnr scored the only goal of the game as ZESCO United edged Forest Rangers in the Ndola derby to keep pace with Red Arrows.
The other Ndola derby saw Buildcon winning the bragging rights as Gift Lukwesa scored the only goal of the game at Trade Fair Grounds.
Chambishi moved out of the relegation zone following an impressive 1-0 win over Power Dynamos away at Arthur Davies Stadium.
Jacob Kaunda scored the only goal of the game. The win takes Chambishi to 14th place with 31 points.
Kansanshi Dynamos made it eight games without defeat as they came from a goal down to rescue a point against Prison Leopards away in Kabwe.
Nkana and Green Eagles played out to a goalless draw and so did Konkola Blades and Green Buffaloes.
