Chambeshi unveiled in Solwezi

Former Nkana head coach Beston Chambeshi was this morning unveiled as the new Kansanshi Dynamos Head Coach at the Floriana Lodge main Conference hall in Solwezi.

Chambeshi was also introduced to the players during a mid-morning training at the Independence Stadium in readiness to start his reign.

Chambeshi has signed a two year deal with the Mabanga Boys according to ZamFoot Crew sources in Solwezi.

John Munkonje is expected to join him as his first assistant with Isreal Mwanza staying on as an assistant coach to the 2017 U20 AFCON winning gaffer.

The former Chipolopolo winger left the Kitwe giants, Nkana 12 days ago on mutual consent following a 2 and half year reign at Chilata Stadium where he helped them to their first-ever Barclays Cup title in 2018.

Kansanshi lies 13th on the log with 13 points and are winless in their last nine games.

They host Kabwe Warriors tomorrow at 15:00hrs but Chambeshi may not be in charge as he is yet familiar with the players. Isreal Mwanza is expected to be in charge as he was the one who took them through training this week.

The Super League newcomers are just four points away from the relegation zone and Chambeshi’s first task is to stabilize the ship and help secure their survival.
