ZESCO United thrashed Gabonese side Canon 105 Libreville 5-0 to progress to the second preliminary round of the 2025/2026 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.
Zega Mambo came into the game looking to overturn the two nil loss suffered in the first leg away in Libreville last weekend and wasted no time.

Kabaso Chongo then turned into prime Lionel Messi, beating a cluster of defenders before unleashing a powerful shot.
Alex ‘Bazo’ Ng’onga made it 3-0 in the 40th minute after a mistake at the back, dispossessing a defender and slotting home with ease.
In the second half, Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba converted from the spot after Amine Hiver was brought down to make it 4-0 before Hiver also converted from the spot after Mubanga was brought down to seal a comfortable win.
The nine time MTN Super League Champions will face Botswana outfit Jwaneng Galaxy in the second round with the first leg set for the weekend of 17/19 October and the return leg for the weekend of 24/26 October.
