TP Mazembe made it three out of three wins in the Group B of the 2018 CAF Champions League group stage when they narrowly beat Algerian side Mouloudia Alger of Algeria 1 – 0.
Zambian internationals Kabaso Chongo, Rainford Kalaba and Nathan Sinkala were all named in the starting 11 for the Congo DR side who have been dominant in the competition this year.
The five-time African champions maintained the only 100 percent group record with this dramatic win.
Only two minutes of regular time remained in southern Congolese city Lubumbashi when Elia Meschak scored the lone goal in the top-of-the-table Group B clash.
Kabaso starred in central defense, with Sinkala playing in his traditional holding midfield position. While the two played the entire game, Kalaba who played on the right side of midfield in an attacking role was substituted in the 81st minute.
Mazembe have nine points, Mouloudia four, fellow Algerians Entente Setif three and Difaa el Jadida of Morocco one.
Mazembe play their next game away against Algers in Algeria on the 28th of July. a game which will guarantee them qualification if they win.
