  1. Next season Zesco should.beef up the squad further. The midfield and defence are not okay. That Chairs easily gets tire, easily loses balls. The defence!

  2. zesco should surprise Sundowns with quick goals. I know Were can be clinical, but he fumbled today. I have a South African friend who wrote off Zesco and I told him to wait Untill the match starts and ends. After the end of the match I reminded him that we should continue talking. When I asked him about his impression of team Zesco he said he underrated Zesco and gives Sundowns no chance of qualifying to the finals. He is impressed with Zesco.

  3. Its good that zesco has beaten that sundown team this goes to show that our league is not weak like the way some people always say here. teams like zanaco, power dynamoes zanaco and nkana should learn what zesco united are doing they need also to sign some forgner players from tanzania, zimbabwe, malawi mozambique and these other countries our league can be strong

  4. Half of Zesco squad may be going to foreign clubs after the end of champions league. An open secret and media reports are that Pitso is interested in making a swoop on Chama and other players. Chiefs for Mbombo, Were and Mwanza have all attracted attention from South African clubs.

  5. Sreat ZESCO won the match. A 2:0 scoreline would have been great but this results implies Sundowns must win by a 2:0 margin! But our Great Reps must focus on scoring a goal or two in South Africa! Viva ZESCO with an impressive away record! Nonetheless, taking nothing for granted, it’s a 50:50 chance. Shalom whatever the final result.

  6. big up to team ya ziko for good results in first leg and wishing them good luck going into the second leg congratulations ba George and the entire technical bench and fans at large for the support hope our football association can organize some fans to go to south africa and support our team.

  7. The Zesco midfield lacks stability, chaila is a one half player and gets tired in the second half resulting in misplacing passes and commiting a lot of fouls. Zesco tends allow goals each time they score coz there is always a big gap between the defenders and midfield especially when there a counter attack. The players must always be moving as a unit without leaving gaps. George Lwandamina should emphasize this!

  8. Well played Zesco and a huge result for the Zambians. Zesco United proved on numerous occasions that they are team to beat, Sundowns are gonna have to work to reverse the results and ultimately the tie. As a Sundowns fan Im thankful for that away goal. Our boys are just gonna have to work harder than ever, the good thing about the match is that Zesco is a team which hardly keeps a clean sheet.

    All the best!!!
