CAF Champions League | North Africans dominate semis

North African clubs have again dominated the semi finals of the CAF Champions League.

Three North Africans countries will be represented in the last four with only South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns being the only club from sub sahara.

Holders Wydad of Morocco, making their fifth semi final in row will face Sundowns while Egyptian power house Al Ahly will be up against Tunisia’s Esperance in the other clash.

Quarter finals were also dominated by North Africans.

Wydad beat Tanzanian side Simba in the quarter final while Al Ahly saw off Moroccan side Raja Casablanca.

Algerian side JS Kabyile were dumped by Esperance while CR Bezouland were eliminated by Sundowns.

Zesco United was the last Zambian side to reach the semi finals.
