Zambia’s representatives in the CAF Confederation Cup, NAPSA Stars will this afternoon be in action as they seek redemption following the loss they suffered on matchday one.
NAPSA Stars hosts, Algerian side JS Kabylie at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka. The Pensioners suffered a 2-0 loss at the hands of the Moroccan side, RS Berkane, the defending champions of the competition.
NAPSA will be without a head coach in Mohamed Fathi who is on Compassionate leave and skipper Dickson Chapa who is serving a suspension after getting booked in the last two games.
However, interim Boss Chintu Kampamba is confident the team has learned lessons from the mistakes they made in the first game and expects a different game this afternoon.
“Football is a game of chances, the first (group) game gave us something to work on and we have been trying to improve on that, and I think the match against JS Kabylie will be a different ball game,” he said.
Meanwhile, JS Kabylie Assistant Coach Kaced Karim expects a tough match when the Algerians take on NAPSA Stars this afternoon.
Napsa Stars have only won one game in their last five outings in this Competition while the two-time CAF Champions League winners have only lost once in that same period.
Kick-off is at 15:00hours and the match will be live on ZNBC TV 1. The CAF Confederation Cup Group B match is billed for National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
