NAPSA Stars head coach Mohamed Fathi believes his side is ready to take on the reigning Champions of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Fathi has set his sight on finishing first or second position in the Group. The Pensioners gaffer says he is not worried about the weather it’s business as usual.
“The game is tough, we are playing current champions of this competition the Confederations Cup and every game is different and has a different story we will try to make history for our club and our country so we will be working very hard to make sure we get the best result,” he said.
“It’s business as usual because even in Mozambique there was tough weather but we managed to win against UD Songo I think here is it’s part of the weather and it will be the same in Algeria so we don’t look at these small issues as disturbance for us we are looking at what we need from this game and we are pushing hard to get what we want from this group.”
“The guys are very focused the Morale is high there are happy and they want to make people happy,” he added.
Fathi expects a very tactical game against very technical players. NAPSA has had a poor start in the league but doing very well in continental football and fathi does not want to mix the two as they are two different competitions.
“North Africans are more tactical and high technique players and so for us as a team we are preparing tactically, we understand the opponent. We know their style of play and we have a plan for the game we are not panicking because we are in north Africa about what the opponent is doing. what we need is, we need to focus on the game,” he said.
“These are two different competitions and our league is wide open us, NAPSA Stars and, Nkana are in the relegation zone but we have games in hand and I think us and Nkana are capable to push up to finish in the top four we still have 16 games to go and there is no panic yet.”
“To the fans keep supporting us we will not let u down God willing we will make you proud after 90minutes, our target in the group stage is to finish number one or two to go to the Quarterfinal so this is our first game and every game you try to pick points from either home or away. So away games our plan is to get something here then at home we force a win,” he added.
NAPSA Stars will be looking for a good start to their group stage campaign this evening when they square off with RS Berkane at the Stade Municipal de Berkane at 21:00 Zambian time.

Look at these that’s why we lose games they are busy taking selfies o show off where they are to friends and prospective girlfriends before a game instead of first concentrating and being focused so that after they get a desired result then they go take selfies.
I fear for a Napsa whitewash. Hopefully I’m wrong?
