FC MUZA have sealed their slot in the second round of the 2023 TotalEnergies CAF Confederations Cup following a comprehensive 3-0 win over Cano Sport of Equatorial Guinea.
MUZA came into the match on the back of an impressive performance forcing a 1-1 draw away at the Estadio de Malabo.
The hosts started strong, creating chances and dominating play.
Kondwani Mhango opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a beautiful headed goal from a corner.
The hosts dominated but could not add to the tally and went to the break leading by just a loen goal.
In the second stanza, MUZA came back looking to add to their lead and only needed six minutes.
Andrew Phiri converted from 12 yards to double the lead after a defender handled inside the area.
MUZA continued to dominate and made it 3-0 in the 63rd minute with Bobo Angwenga finishing off with easy after a brilliant pass from the right wing.
MUZA continued to control the match but could not add to their tally, 3-0 the match ended.
MUZA won the match 4-1 on aggregate to progress to the second preliminary round.
The Elegant Dynamites will face off against Diables Noirs from the Congo Republic in the next round.
