CAF Confederations Cup Quarter Final
Second Leg
CS Sfaxien 2- 0 Nkana (Chaouat 7′, Marzouki 90′) (Agg. 3-2)
Nkana were beaten 2 – 0 away by CS Sfaxien of Tunisia in the quarter finals of the CAF Confederation Cup to bow out of the competition via a 3 – 2 aggregate scoreline.
The Twelve time Zambia Super league Champions went into the match with a 2-1 home advantage and only needed yo avoid defeat to complete their passage to the Semifinals.
Coach Beston Chambeshi had all the odds against him with four key players , Playing away in Sfax and of course the dreaded poor away record his team has in the campaign having lost all their three away games in the group stage.
The home side did not take long to settle and started pilling pressure from the onset. Danger man Firas Chawat broke the deadlock just seven minutes into the match with a free header from a corner.
Sfaxien nearly doubled the lead three minutes later but Chawats header went wide. Nkana had their first real opportunity in the 27th minute with Hassan Kessy through on goal but his effort went inches wide with only the keeper to beat.

In the second Stanza the hosts continued to pile pressure. Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba hit a beautiful ball into the box in the 60th minute but Ronald Kampamba failed to connect.
On the other end Nkana hand the post to thank after a header from a corner nearly went in. Shadreck Malambo put Ronald Kampamba through on goal with a beautiful pass but the Sfaxien goalkeeper made a good save to deny the ‘Landlord’.
Chawat had a crack at goal in the 70th minute but his shot was not strong enough to beat Malunga in the Nkana goal.
Zambia U23 national team defender Moses Nyondo pumped a good ball into the box and Nkana thought they had equalised but the unlucky Ronald Kampamba was denied by the inside of the crossbar. Sfaxien put the result to bed in the 90th minute after Firas Chawat found Alaa Mazourki who beat the off side trap to beat Malunga from close range.
2-0 the match ended to send Sfaxien through to the semi finals of the CAF Confederation Cup and end Nkana journey.

We all expected them to lose, truth be told nkana has no coach neither has zesco. These coaches needs to go back to school period!!!
How did nkana loose a match they could have won.chambeshi must retire. The problem we have with Zambian coaches is the are so focused to dominate the local league and not dominating international football.
