Buffaloes held in Botswana

 

Zambia’s envoy in CAF Confederations Cup Green Buffaloes were held to a 2-2 draw with Gaborone giants Township giants on their tour of Botswana.

The ‘Go Boys & Fight, Conquer’ arrived in Botswana on Friday to start their pre-season.

Right full back Malan Gondwe and the legendary Felix Katongo scored for the Bilton Musonda coached side.

New signings, Youremember Banda from Napsa Stars, Eddie Sinyagwe from lumwana Radiants, Sporting Lusaka’s Lazarous Muchinga and Kabwe Warriors’ Monga Chilimba all made their debut.

Three Buffaloes players are in coach Wedson Nyirenda’s CHAN squad.

Midfielder Jack Chirwa is expected to start in midfield alongside Kondwani Mtonga while Adrian Chama and Mike Katiba will be on the bench in Morocco.

Buffaloes will face Egyptian side El Masry in the preliminary stage over a 2 legged tie.

Nkana is the other side that will be presenting Zambia in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Champions Zesco United has been joined by Zanaco in CAF Champions League.
