Former Sensational Zanaco midfielder Boyd Musonda has terminated his contract with Tunisian outfit CS Sfaxien barely five months after joining the club the ZamFoot Crew can exclusively reveal.
The 2017 U20 AFCON winner has terminated his contract after going three months without pay. Musonda joined the Tunisian giants in July and penned a three-year deal.
The midfielder will be heading to South Africa to join a PSL side according to his agent Paricha Chikoye.
“Yes, he has terminated his contract after three months without pay. He will join a PSL side next week,” Chikoye told the ZamFoot Crew in an exclusive interview.
ZamFoot Crew sources at Sunset Stadium have also revealed that Sfaxien has not paid Zanaco the agreed fee and they are contemplating going the FIFA route.
Musonda spent five years with the senior Zanaco side before his departure for North Africa. He was promoted to the side in 2015 and went on to win one league title (2016) and a Barclays Cup title (2017).
Zambian players never learn. Only one K. Bubble Malitole for Esperance has made it in Africa. The rest have failed and mostly have never been given an opportunity to shine at the respective clubs they have gone to.
