Newly promoted MTN Super League side Konkola Blades have unveiled nine new acquisitions led by Chipolopolo midfielder Kelvin Kapumbu as earlier reported by the ZamFoot Crew.
Former Zambia U20 National Team midfielder Boyd ‘Tanker’ Musonda is also among the players who have joined Sharp Razor after ending his ten year stay at Sunset Stadium.
Striker Clive Biyeta from Mufulira Wanderers, winger Reagan Mtonga from Power Dynamos, and defender Simon Mulenga from Trident FC. They have all penned two-year permanent deals.
Others are last season’s ZPL National League top goalscorer Golden Zansi and midfielder Benjamin Saeli from Riverplate.
Barts FC winger Martin Mweemba and defender Jackson Phiri who have penned three year deals like Zansi and Saeli.
Meanwhile eight players have part company with the club namely Bob Chansa, Lemisa Moussa, and Mushili Chanda whose contracts with the club have expired, while Paul Mumba, James Phiri, Katana Kasanda, and Emmanuel Sakala have separated with KBFC on mutual grounds. Right-back, Progress Mukuka has moved to Chirundu United on a permanent deal.

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐰𝐞, 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 – Konkola Blades Football Club (KBFC), management is excited to share some big club updates with its fans, partners, and the football fraternity of the recent developments regarding reinforcement of playing squad ahead of the upcoming 2025/2026 Super League season.
As part of its continued efforts to strengthen the team and remain competitive, the club is delighted to announce the signing of several new players who bring not only fresh talent, but also new energy and ambition to the club.
KBFC Chief Executive Officer, Kebby Shampongo says the additions reflect the club’s commitment to building a squad that aligns with its vision and long-term goals.
Shampongo requests KBFC sympathisers to join the club in warmly welcoming the top talent acquired to strengthen the squad that will raise the club’s competitive edge, who include;
Kevin Kapumbu and Boyd Musonda, both midfielders and formerly of Zanaco, Clive Biyeta, a striker tapped in from Mufulira Wanderers, winger, Reagan Mtonga from Kitwe giants, Power Dynamos, and Simon Mulenga, a central defender from Trident FC, have all joined KBFC on a two-year permanent deal.
The club has also acquired fresh and committed talents of a winger and defender, Martin Mweemba and Jackson Phiri, respectively, both from Barts FC, Riverplate’s duo of Golden Zansi, a striker, and Benjamin Saile, a defensive midfielder, all joining on a three-year permanent deal.
At the same time, the club has made the difficult decision to part ways with a number of players, these include; Bob Chansa, Lemisa Moussa, and Mushili Chanda whose contracts with the club have expired, while Paul Mumba, James Phiri, Katana Kasanda, and Emmanuel Sakala have separated with KBFC on mutual grounds. Right-back, Progress Mukuka has moved to Chirundu United on a permanent deal.
