Barbra Banda to miss Angel City game

Copper Queens captain Barbra Banda will miss Orlando Pride’s NWSL match against Angel in the early hours of Saturday.

Banda picked up a knock prior to the season going on a one month recess in the Pride’s 3-1 win over Bay FC.

The Zambian international joins Kylie Nadaner (Maternity Leave), Oihane (Lower Leg), and Viviana Villacorta (Knee – D45) on the sidelines despite having fully recovered from the thigh injury more as a precaution, the ZamFoot Crew understands.

Banda has been fully involved in training sessions since returning to her base over three weeks ago after the June international window.

Banda is expected to be available when the Pride host Kansas City Current next weekend.

Banda has made 12 goals contributions (11 goals and one assist) in 12 games so far this season and leads the Golden Boot race.

Meanwhile compatriot Prisca Chilufya is expected to be in action as she faces off with her former teammates.
